    Description

    25mm Triple Wall

25mm Triple Wall has a similar construction to a twin wall, with an added layer of tough polycarbonate to strengthen this versatile panel. In addition, the extra layers of plastic material add to the acoustic and noise-cancelling properties of this sheeting, making it ideal for use in gazebos.

The thermal effect is also stronger, so you can successfully use 25mm triple wall sheeting as a lean-to and cold frame roofing solution. Cut to size triple wall is the preferred choice for heat insulation and is more suitable for heavier loads.

You can install a triple wall on sloped roofs if you allow for the proper drainage of rainwater. The smallest recommended slope is 5°, and the usually recommended slope is 10°.

25mm Triple wall is available in Clear, Opal, and Bronze finishes. The thickness is 16 mm. The maximum size of a single panel is 6000 mm x 2100 mm.

    25mm Multiwall Sheets

25mm Multiwall Polycarbonate is the thickest and strongest version of polycarbonate roofing sheeting. It is made of multiple layers of PC interlocked with stabilising levels of plastic material.

Because of its thickness, multiwall offers the greatest insulating and protecting capabilities at a slight loss of clarity. Multiwall is the preferred choice for conservatories, extensions, and construction. Multiwall sheeting is also used for carport roofs, bus and bike shelters, or swimming pool roofing.

Multiwall is an inexpensive and easy-to-install solution for enjoying the sun in your home all year. long. The thick sheeting offers excellent UV protection for you, your plants and your pets.

Multiwall is available in Clear, Opal, Heatguard Opal, and Bronze finishes. Heatguard Opal sheeting is unique in its ability to control solar transmission and prevent heat build-up while letting the sun illuminate the space below.

The maximum size of a single panel is 6000 mm x 2100 mm. The thickness ranges from 25 mm to 35 mm.

General Solid Polycarbonate Product Information FAQs

What is the difference between Clear Perspex® Acrylic and Clear Polycarbonate?
Polycarbonate is chemically strengthened to be smashproof. Our Polycarbonate sheeting also offers UV protection.

What is the difference between Solid Polycarbonate and Twin/Multiwall Polycarbonate?
Solid Polycarbonate is a clear plastic sheet made of Polycarbonate. It has exceptional strength and impact resistance, making it virtually unbreakable. Twinwall,  Multiwall is a lightweight Polycarbonate product. It consists of thinner sheets of Polycarbonate layered together in a fluted design, and meant for roofing.

What is the light transparency of your solid Polycarbonate?
Solid, clear Polycarbonate has a light transmission of more than 89%. In comparison, glass has a transparency of 83%-90%, making the difference almost indistinguishable.

What is the expected lifespan of solid Polycarbonate?
Our solid Polycarbonate sheeting’s performance depends on its light exposure. The product can begin discolouring (yellowing) after 7 years of direct and/or constant exposure to sunlight.

Do you sell coloured Polycarbonate sheets?
Our standard Polycarbonate sheets are only available in clear.  However, if you are interested in Polycarbonate Twin Wall or Multi Wall products, these are also available in Opal and Bronze options.

What is the weight difference between solid Polycarbonate sheeting and glass?
Polycarbonate plastic sheets are usually half the weight of glass. For example, a 2mm Polycarbonate sheet would weigh approximately 2.40 kg per 1m² compared to glass’ 4.90 kg per 1m².

What is the strength difference between solid Polycarbonate or acrylic sheeting and glass?
Polycarbonate plastic is more than 200 times stronger than glass and 30 times stronger than acrylic panels.
